I do not use killswitches, because they can have their own issues. I use a firewall rule to force all traffic to the adapter AND I bind the torrent app to the IP of the tunnel. (I use transmission, but outcome is same.) My script just logs the IP and when it is different, it stops Transmission, updates the bind IP, and restarts the app.
