Are all of the complainers on the same segment? or the whole LAN, or just users that cross the WAN? Is the network slow for users just going to the Internet, or just slow for users of the internal resources? Some common "slow network" causes (depending on who is complaining): One or more connections are having duplex-mismatch problems.

Also check the wired network port adapter settings properties of the laptop to see if the speed/duplex value has been modified or is impacting the speed. On the wired connection using a laptop I can measure speeds over 500 mbps using speedtest.net. The same cable when connected to the ultra gives me a connection speed of 93.75 Mbps. The same CAT5 cable plugged to a laptop gives over 500 Mbps but when plugged into my ultra gives only 93.75. Actually the wireless connection on my ultra gives 118 Mbps.

Mar 05, 2019 · So what finally solved the slow wifi internet connection on my laptop was to set both “On battery” and “Plugged in” settings for the “Power Saving Mode” for my “Wireless Adapter Settings” in Power options to “Maximum Performance”: Since I’ve changed this setting, my laptop’s WiFi internet access works like a charm!
